How to Conquer the Things that Scare You.

There are situations that can seem so unnerving and overwhelming that we have no clue how to get to the other side. Situations may happen in life and we can’t help but to look to the heavens and shout why me?! Believe me when I say -life is not easy. I have been through some trying situations that have had me on my knees, like when my father went to jail and I was living by myself at a very young age, or even to when I lost my job and had what seemed like no options.

When these things happen, remember that we are equipped to handle absolutely anything. Secondly, we are not alone, others have gone through situations like this and have survived. Furthermore, remember that we have gone through things in our past that we also thought there was no way we were going to get through. In the words of my best friend- “I might cry for a few days, then I’m going to pick myself up and handle it like I always do.” I admire that tenacity and resilience and her warrior spirit. That statement says to me: Yes, I may be affected by situations because  I am human, but I am more than capable and I will do what I have to do to survive.13908805_10154594726423287_8758867407516633592_o.jpg

This is so powerful and inspiring. Fearlessness creates limitlessness. Do not be afraid of challenges in life. Often times these are the things that help us grow, elevate us to new heights, and re-enforce the fact that we are bad bitches that can handle the things life throws at us.

Sometimes life happens and we may be faced with adversity. Other times we cling to our comfort zones never wanting to experience the unknown because we are merely fearful. We never go after goals or experiences that may make us uncomfortable, even if they have great rewards on the other side. To this I say – life is an adventure. It is up to you the type of story you want to have.

“Run toward the challenges. It is in those challenges that you will fulfill your greatest dreams.” – Ralph Marston.

When it comes to my personal goals, (Bad Bitch Mantra 2 – Bad Bitches Have Goals)  I would love to will own a lounge. I don’t know the first thing about running that kind of business, but that is definitely not stopping me. I am networking, talking to people with experience, studying and learning the things I do not know. Some may say, there is no way I could  *insert enormous goal/dream.* And I say why the hell not? If others are doing it then there is no reason why I can not too. If there is something I don’t know, I will go figure it out. If you feel paralyzed, anxious,  and do not know where to start – start small and chip away at it. As long as you are constantly working toward it and moving forward you are doing great. If you are learning and progressing, you are living. But if you are not learning and stay crouched in your comfort zone, not progressing, then you, my friend, are dying.

Fearlessly attack that which is unknown, conquer the things that scare you. You’ll find that you will be stronger and greater because of it.
